As Mugabe was being pushed out of power, his boys Robert junior, 25, and Chatunga Bellarmine, 21, were partying and organizing for gigs
- For the two boys, it was business as usual and not even their parents' political tribulation could deter them from having fun as they should
Robert Mugabe stepped down as Zimbabwe's president on Tuesday, November 21, following a military coup and growing calls for him to leave office.
But as all the political shenanigans and power plays were unfolding in Harare, with 93-year-old Mugabe put under house arrest and his wife exiled, his sons Robert junior, 25, and Chatunga Bellarmine, 21, were busy partying and organizing for more crazy gigs in the city.
"Tekno was meant to start his tour in Zimbabwe on Friday at the Alexandra Sports Club in Harare but the show did not take off," Bellarmine disclosed on Facebook, an indication that for them it was business as normal.
Apparently, the boys were planning to bring Nigeria's top musician and songwriter Augustine Miles Kelechi a.k.a Tekno, to Harare to unleash some fun, except things did not go as expected.
“After doing everything within our power to ensure that all was set for the artist to do his thing in Harare , circumstances beyond our control arose and messed up the plan," a seemingly disappointed Bellarmine shared on Facebook.
So Tekno's scheduled performance in Harare was canceled, albeit regrettably according to Bellarmine and his brother.
The brothers had no choice because Emmerson Mnangagwa was set to be sworn in as Zimbabwe's new president on November 24, same day they had planned a party in the city, after their dad was kicked out of office.
Perhaps, not all hope is lost. They have all it takes to bring Tekno to Harare and therefore could possibly reorganize the party afresh after political temperatures subside.
