Mississippi State 31, Louisville 27 - 3:39 4TH: Keytaon Thompson's 1-yard TD run gives MSU a 31-27 lead with 3:39 left. His run to get to the 1 was impressive: he broke a tackle near line of scrimmage, shed another and then needed three guys to take him down.
today. In the third quarter, Louisville started drives from the Mississippi State 20, its own 45 and the Mississippi State 32 and scored a total of three points. MSU's offense, on the other hand, hasn't looked great lately.
Louisville 24, Mississippi State 17 - 3:14 3RD: Mississippi State's defense has played relatively well (considering they are against Jackson) and this was an example of the group bending but not breaking. Louisville added a field goal in the red zone, but MSU broke up a pass in the end zone earlier in the drive. Louisville took over after Thompson threw an interception.
Louisville 21, Mississippi State 17 - 8:49 3RD: Sweat sacked Jackson on third down and Louisville then missed a field goal. That was a good defensive stand for the Bulldogs because Gabe Myles had just fumbled a punt return.
