JetBlue flight returns to Boston after odor sickens passengers and crew

WBZ/CNN) – Federal aviation officials are investigating after a JetBlue Airways flight to the Dominican Republic returned to Boston following an unusual odor in the cabin of the airplane.

In a statement, the Federal Aviation Administration said the matter is under investigation.

"JetBlue 1095, an Airbus A320, landed safely on Runway 33L at Boston Logan International Airport [Saturday night] 6:25 pm after reporting fumes in the cabin," the statement said.

Passengers and crew members reported not feeling well, a statement from JetBlue said.

No one was transported to the hospital, according to Massport Media Relations. Massachusetts Port Authority operates the airport.

JetBlue Flight 1095 was in the air for about 75 minutes before landing, FlightAware, a flight tracking webstie, shows.
